Besides fresh lychee lilikoi is the taste I most miss from home. I miss my own jelly I used to make (and then swirl it with wine and herbs and baste chicken with it), I miss it fresh and I miss it on shave ice.
I tried the honey (love the ginger!!) and felt it did not have eough lilikoi in it to really taste unless I just put it on my tongue and drooled.
The punch wasn\'t there.
Perhaps the intensity is batch specific???

I think lilikoi honey is best enjoyed on a real boiled bagel with just a touch of butter on it and so hot you can barely hold it. Tell me that won\'t warm up a chilly morning and make that first cup of whatever more enjoyable!

I never thought it possible to improve on your white honey until I tasted the lilikoi version a couple of years ago. I gave jars of it as gifts to friends and family members last Christmas and received rave reviews. For all those out there on the fence about trying it, I can definitively say that this is one taste experience that everyone should have. Try putting a dab on plain walnuts or spread a small amount on Granny Smith apple slices for a wonderful treat. One taste and you\'ll be hooked for life.
